Bluestone’s Goldfinch
Sire: Skye High Moody Blues (suspected) or Ewan of Highland Heritage
Dam: Summit Ranch Abby
DOB: 05-04-2026
Description: Here’s a chance to own a really sharp looking yellow heifer out of some cool vintage genetics. Summit Ranch cows are now few and far between, and we really waffled on selling this one. Summit Ranch Abby is 14 years old and raised this standout calf out on big pasture this year. DNA will be submitted before the sale, but phenotype and timing-wise we suspect Skye High Moody Blues to have sired this one.
Summit Ranch Abby is sired by Landelley’s Cody and carries the frosted dossan & tail tip, which she always passes to her offspring. Her udder is holding up well for her age and she has never needed any help or assistance with calving or getting calf to nurse. Her feet are the area which need some improvement, and we anticipate that our Skye High bull will do an excellent job in this area! This is going to be a really superb heifer.
Disposition/Halter Status: This is a spring calf out on our big Northern pasture, so she will be halter trained when she comes home at weaning in the fall.
