Glimmer has been a tremendous cow for us since purchasing her as a yearning at a North Central Highland annual production sale. She is a great-granddaughter of Skye High Vermillion, one of my all-time favorite cows. She has calved and raised nice calves each year, always stamping her offspring with her signature with solid conformation and white frosting on the dossan and tail. We have a couple of daughters retained in our herd, and she really knocks it out of the park with just easy-keeping, flashy offspring.
We paired her with Landelley’s Cody as we have been long awaiting to use his genetics; not just to capitalize on the frosting, but because this bull has some very impressive statistics. Reserve Grand Champion Bull in 2007 at the NWSS, Cody has stamped his offspring with frosting. His ribeye ultrasound was over 23 inches. He was the sire of TWO National Western Stock Show Grand Champion Females, LiTerra Betula 911 and Summit Ranch Valli, as well as many other show champions. He has been the Get of Sire winner of multiple regional and national shows. His offspring are consistently thick and deep bodied, structurally correct, and functional with sound feet and legs.
We have a 15 year old daughter of Cody who has held up really well, still producing and with an excellent udder. The proof is in the offspring!
